Joe proceeded to follow through on his plans and I threw mine out the window and charged in. It was a gamble that didn't pay off unfortunately, but many things were learned, and many mistakes were made. I think the moral of tonight's story is again to know the crew you are going against and if you have the card of their models, read them. Big thanks to Joe for coming back and playing out the game. Great player, great game, lots of laughs.

MVPs of the match

Rezzers - Copycat Killer with a honorable mention to Bete Noir

Ten Thunders - Yin

Thanks for listening everyone and please note that this battle can be viewed on Joe's twitch site and then after that his YouTube Channel.

Episode 11 - Malifaux Hardcore format with Mike Marshall

Welcome to Episode 11 and it's another slightly different format in which I once again welcome Mike Marshall (@oldmanmyke) to the show again. He returns to discuss the Malifaux alternate format of Hardcore. This is a format that has recently crept up and is gaining some steam as a quick way to get in a few games of Malifaux and a way to play a faster tournament.

Mike and I discuss the various rules, some crew builds, and generally how to run an event and the attitude a player needs to enjoy this format.

Not really much else to say other than enjoy this episode and we will be returning to a game set up format again next week. Hope you enjoyed the alternate format for a couple of episodes and as always thanks for listening!

Episode 10 - Tournaments! with Connor Barker and Peter Sidaway

On Episode 10 I sit down and chat once again with Connor Barker (@proximocoal) and a new guest in Peter Sidaway (@midtable_obscur) and we do a round table discussion on Malifaux tournaments. Peter comes to us as a new Malifaux player just getting started in the scene where as Connor employs the seat as master tournament player, or at least most experience. I just sit there and steer the discussion and try not to appear daft. Hopefully I pulled it off. Anyways our chat covered how to prepare for tournaments, what to bring, what to expect, and why you should play in tournaments.

For this podcast each 10th episode (20, 30, etc.) I am going to try and do one of these round tables on various topics. Speaking of various topics, if there is a topic that you would like to see discussed please email, tweet, or facebook me and let me know.

Again big thanks to Connor and Peter. It was a fun show and I think we covered it well in the general sense of tournaments. Thanks for listening.
